DOES MUSIC MATTER?

The purpose of this blog is to inspire all who have come to know the Truth of God, or are interested in knowing the Truth of God, to think with clarity and to examine carefully  the influences we allow in our lives that do not please our Creator. I'm not interested in opinion, but rather what God has to say about the matter, and He has inspired much to be written on this topic. One of the most powerful influences we have in our lives, and I'm convinced this has been an influence from the beginning of creation, is music(Ezekiel 28:13). Music can be used to either worship God, or honor the things of this world. Music is either of the light or of the darkness, and I hope to be able to show you, through the lens of scripture and guided by the Spirit of God, that there is no in between. As Christians we have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness,(Ephesians 5:11 KJV). I have played the guitar for nearly 40 years and  although I may not be the best singer/songwriter you have heard, I have spent enough time in the bars and clubs to know of what I speak. I know of, and have been involved with the dark side of the music business along the way. Only by the grace of God , through and by the shed blood of our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ, have I begun to overcome this darkness and my sinful nature.I pray for God's blessing and guidance, in this effort to provide you proof that it does matter to God what music we listen to, what movies we watch , how we treat one another, and most importantly how we present ourselves as future inhabitants of The Kingdom of God.
